World’s Smallest Car Is No Windup

The brain behind the world’s lowest car, the Flatmobile, Briton Perry Watkins saw potential in an old Postman Pat kids coin-op ride he saw on eBay and set about turning it into what could easily be the worlds smallest road legal car. Taking the fibreglass body and reinforcing it with a steel frame, Watkins mounted the Patvan onto a modified 150cc mini quad bike chassis, added mirrors, windscreen wipers and washers, lights and indicators plus the obligatory boyracer faux racing exhaust pipes with a large fake wind up key at the back.
I’m not sure I’d want to drive this thing, it looks like a total death trap to me, but at 39ins high and 26ins wide Watkins is confident that the ‘Wind Up‘ is the smallest car in the world. Let’s just hope he doesn’t end up Postman Splat.
