The Phone Call
by N.Shah on Jul.25, 2009, under Jokes
The call came through at about 3.30pm.
“Which emergency service do you require?”
“Police please,” whispered the tiny voice on the other end of the phone. “Please tell them to come quickly.”
“Can you tell me where you live?”
Again the whisper.
“246 Charles Street. The house is on fire.”
“Do you need the fire men as well?”
“No they’re already here.”
“Are you OK?”
“Yes,” came the whisper again, “well I am at the moment. Please ask the police to hurry. I’m really frightened.”
“Are your parents there? Are they safe?”
“Yes.”
“Are they with you?”
“No. They’re searching for me with the firemen,” the voice whispered again.”They don’t know where I am.”
“Why aren’t you with them? Where are you?”
“I’m hiding under the bed with the box of matches.”

Fire Alarm Jam
by N.Shah on May.31, 2009, under Videos
Everyone has heard a fire alarm. Whether it was during elementary school, where you practiced the drill on how to exit the classroom calm and collective or when you were smoking the bong. Everyone knows that high pitch, repetitive noise that makes your ears ring.
Well a bunch of cool guys decided to take that Banshee of a noise and actually make something kick ass out of it. After watching this video, no one will run out of a burning building.

Exploding Hydrogen Bubbles

In the following video, Theo Grey from Popular Science fills soap bubbles with a hydrogen-oxygen mixture. He then puts fire to the bubbles as they rise up in the air. While this may look like a very fun experiment to attempt, we do not recommend that you try this at home.

Make your own flame music visualization with this cool physics experiment. Be careful though (we wouldn’t recommend trying it at home – the garage would be better!)
